30 date tour goes on sale tomorrow and includes The Royal Albert Hall, Manchester O2 Apollo, Birmingham Symphony Hall and more.

London, Wednesday 31 January 2024 – Musical maestro Jools Holland and his famous Rhythm & Blues Orchestra have today announced the run of dates for their 2024 Autumn/Winter tour, with special guests Marc Almond and Toby Lee.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 2nd February.

Starting in Southend on October 31st, the tour will take in 30 shows across the UK including two dates at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th of November.

From his years in the internationally acclaimed duo Soft Cell to the successful solo career that followed, Marc Almond has sold over 30 million records worldwide with his list of hit songs including ‘Say Hello, Wave Goodbye, ‘Touch’ and, of course, ‘Tainted Love’. Marc has been awarded the Ivor Novello Inspiration Award and the Icon Award by Attitude Magazine. His collaborators include the likes of Gene Pitney, Tony Visconti and Burt Bacharach, as well as Jools, who Marc previously toured with in 2018.

Audiences will also be treated to the supreme talent of blues guitar prodigy and social media sensation, Toby Lee. Described by Joe Bonamassa as “a future superstar of the blues”, Toby first came to public attention at 10 years old when he posted a get well soon jam for BB King which went viral with 5 million views in a week. Since then, he has gone on to perform in West End productions, winning Olivier and UK Blues Awards and showcasing his skills on TV and live performances around the world. Now joining Jools for every stop of the tour, audiences have a chance to see one of the world’s most promising blues guitarists in the flesh.

Fans will be thrilled to hear that the shows will once again feature the incredible Ruby Turner and the outstanding vocals of Louise Marshall, and Sumudu Jayatilaka. Together with the skilful musicianship of the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, which features drums from original Squeeze member Gilson Lavis, Jools Holland will be performing tracks spanning his entire solo career. With a catalogue of boogie woogie classics to choose from, the show is sure to have fans of both Jools and Marc Almond on their feet!

Sounds Of The 60’s Live – Hosted by Tony Blackburn OBE

A string of extra shows has been added to the incredibly popular Sounds of the 60’s tour, hosted by BBC Radio 2’s Tony Blackburn OBE. 

Every week, listeners across the UK tune into BBC Radio 2 to hear the legendary Tony Blackburn play the greatest songs of the 60’s. Now, the legendary DJ will be taking his Sounds of the 60’s show on the road, for a UK tour celebrating the music of this much-loved decade. 

Featuring stories and songs from perhaps the most iconic 10 years in music, fashion and popular culture, the Sounds of the 60’s tour will bring to life memories of the era.

The Sounds of the 60’s All-Star Band and Singers will perform classic hits from the likes of Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Everly Brothers, Elvis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, The Drifters, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and many more. 

With this year marking the 60th anniversary of his first broadcast on pirate radio station Radio Caroline South in 1964, Tony Blackburn is remembered as a defining voice of the 1960s. His incredible career has seen him present on BBC Radio 1, Top of the Pops, and since 2017 he has presented Sounds of the 60’s on Radio 2, a hugely popular show on BBC Radio.

A champion in particular of Soul music throughout the 60’s, Tony has been recognised with 37 awards to his name including two Gold Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Radio, becoming the first person in history to receive two of these lifetime achievement awards. Tony is also recognised for becoming the first King of the Jungle in the original series of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here.

The Horne Section

They have two series of their own Channel 4 TV show, an iTunes-chart-topping podcast and now they’re tuning up their instruments once more to tour the country: it’s the Horne Section’s Hit Show!  

“Britain’s Funniest Band” (The Guardian) have made appearances on The Last Leg (Channel 4), Peter Crouch’s Year- Late Euros (BBC One), they are Dictionary Corner regulars on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and the only band to ever host Never Mind The Buzzcocks.  Separately, members of The Horne Section have performed with recording artists including Robbie Williams, Madness, Florence and the Machine, Amy Winehouse, George Ezra, Basement Jaxx, Disclosure and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.  

Unruly, ridiculous, and surprisingly satisfying, the six-headed comedy band includes five outstanding musicians and one non-musical stand-up. There’ll be comedy, songs, enthusiastic dancing, and a lot of mucking about.
