About the Show
Sometimes love is a fight to the death.
Sparks fly when soldier Don José meets the rebellious Carmen, but is it love or something darker that draws them together? Politics and passion collide in a score pulsing with the urgent, sensual beat of Spanish dance.
Energy and emotion burst from this evocative staging by award-winning Broadway director Diane Paulus, with choreography by Jasmin Vardimon.
Ben Glassberg conducts two casts, led by soprano Danielle de Niese – making her UK debut in the title role – and mezzo-soprano Rihab Chaieb. Ben Glassberg will conduct London Philharminic Orchestra for all performances.
